WELCOME TO TRIBES FASHION WITH TRIBESLADY CHINAZOM FRANCISCA (CEO. 35 STITCHES)
Hi everyone!
A bit of introduction before we get talking. My name is Chinazom
Francisca, I'm a modest fashion entrepreneur. I'm passionate about modest
fashion and committed to raising women and men who understand that modesty in
dressing is golden.
That said, may I ask, “have you've ever had this experience where
you walk into an office well dressed and everyone (including those obviously
older than you are) is addressing you with so much respect?”
That's the power of a good appearance! Take it or leave it, you
would be addressed as you are dressed. I know this sounds sort of archaic, but
it still holds water especially in this age and time where we pay so much
attention to images and looks.
Oh yes! Good images are the real deal these days. Social media, websites,
advertorials, videos etc hinges on the power of good images.
You walk into an interview setting and your appearance judges you
first, TV anchors hire personal stylists to style them before going on air,
some finance institution workers dress to 'kill' when they are out on customers
that would bank with them and run accounts running in millions… The list is
endless.
The crux of the matter is we are paying so much attention to our
image/appearance both offline and online. As Christians who have been set apart
to be Christ's ambassadors, we should also pay attention to our dressing and
appearance as well. It's important for kingdom work.
How do I mean you’d ask?
How could you possibly convince someone else that 'God is good' when you're all decked in
tattered clothes and looking quite unkempt?
I mean, ‘your God is good’, you should be putting on good clothes
too right?
Tell me how a Christian out on soul winning exercise would be decked
in seductive clothes? Would we call that preaching or seducing? Confusing
really!
I can't help but imagine that God is interested in what we put on
too; just like our earthly parents would want to buy us the finest of clothes
largely because they won't want people to see us as children who are uncared
for.
We need to realize the power our looks carry and channel that into
glorifying God in our choice of clothes. Let us keep in mind the word of God in
Romans 12:2... "Be not conformed to this world…"
Never be shy about looking modest;
Never feel out of league for being decent;
Be modest and slay!
Sometimes, your dress alone could do the talking, let it speak the
right and edifying things!
Fashion Hack: Did you know that wearing a dress with vertical stripes would make you look taller? Yeah, it actually does.
Kindly share your thoughts with me in the comment section. I'd love
to read your mind, Lol…
See you next week!

About the fashion hack, that's the trick lines play on the eyes. Wearing a dress with horizontal lines will make you look bigger and shorter too.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm... Interesting. We have fashion gurus out there too... Thanks for the comment.
